Durango Wine Experience 2012

I absolutely love shooting this event. Food and beverage plus education on so many aspects of the two, SO FUN. I enjoy all the educational seminars, meeting new people, watching chefs create and coordinate with wine and sparking wines. If you are interested in food and wine then this is the place to be. Every May, The Durango Wine Experience takes over this little mountain town and there are tons of purple teethed people walking everywhere :-) Everyone enjoys the amount of vineyard and reps that are here and your will soooo try something you have never tried before. This year I attended a Bordeaux seminar at Cosmos, a regional Italian wine and cheese course at Guidos, a Montanya Rum class at the Lost Dog Bar and Lounge, the walk about all over town, the derby party at the Rochester Hotel, the Grand Tasting and those are just to name a few! Below are many pics that I have to share out of 760 total,but I won't bombard you with all of them. As you will see, it is one heck of a weekend at the Durango Wine Experience. I am choosing not to put my watermark on these images because I think it takes away some beauty and enthusiasm from them. Enjoy.

Durango Wedding Photography -Engagement Session- Jody and Rain

I had the best Sunday morning with a couple that I am photographing this summer. With each of my wedding clients I always offer the opportunity to spend some time playing and having fun. I think it is important for my couples to see, feel and understand how I work. So many people are uncomfortable in front of the camera, including myself, I think we would all like to say, nope not me lets do it, but that isn't always the case. Jody and Rain came in to do some finalizing of wedding plans and vendors. They live in AZ and are getting married in Durango. They consider this community to be a second home. A couple of Sunday's ago we all went out to a beautiful meadow to spend a gorgeous but somewhat cloudy morning, capturing their love prior to their wedding. Jody and Rain, I had so much fun and cannot wait to capture you both on your special day! My best to you.
